Today we are sharing Character Encounters! This was from a chance encounter in Magic Kingdom on my solo trip with a very sweet Snow White. I don't usually do character meets when I travel solo but on this occasion I happened upon Snow White with no line and decided to just step right up. She is just so lovely.

Destination Disney: My Favorite Disney Characters
It's time for another Disney meme. The topic this week is our
Top 9 Disney Characters.
It was tough narrowing my selection down to just 9 from all the Disney legendary characters. I have so many favorites from Disney TV, movies, parks and books that I needed to break it down. Oh the decisions!
After much thought, (think Pooh and his thoughtful spot) I decided I better stick with just characters I've met and interacted with in Walt Disney World. Some meet and greets are just that, you meet the character get their autograph take your picture and go. Other characters really connect and interact with guests making the experience even more magical.
Also, putting a number on it was a challenge. I finally had to go with 10 instead of just 9, consider it a Disney 9 "plus". You know how Disney always "pluses" everything.

I just love this Hidden Mickey and whenever I ride Snow White's Scary Adventure I check to make sure it's still there. It reminds of a Snow White book I had when I was a young girl. The attention given to details like this, really heighten the magical experience in the parks for me.

All The Princesses are so excited to have Rapunzel enter the Royal Court as the 10th Disney Princess and we thought it would be fun to have a tea party in her honor!
Besides, we just love to have themed tea parties for holidays, birthdays and even an unbirthday.
Snow White has put down her tiara to prepare a most magical and tasty Gooseberry pie for The Princess Tea Party.Queen: All alone, my pet?
Snow White: Why... why, yes, I am, but...
Queen: The... the little men are not here?
Snow White: No, they're not, but...
Queen: [Sniffing] Mm-hmm. Baking pies?
Snow White: Yes, gooseberry pie.
Queen: It's apple pies that make the menfolks' mouths water. Pies made from apples like these. Snow White: Oh, they do look delicious.
Queen: Yes, but wait 'til you taste one, dearie. Like to try one? Go on. Go on, have a bite.

Snow White's Gooseberry & Mixed Fruit Pie
Preheat oven to 300º degrees.
Pie Crust Dough:
3 ½ cups all purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 sticks unsalted butter cut into ¼ inch pieces
4 tablespoons Crisco (or substitute: margarine (1 cup shortening = 1 cup + 2 tablespoons margarine)
Sift the flour, sugar, and salt into a large bowl. Using your fingers
(I cut it in with a pastry knife) work in the butter and shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add 2 tablespoons ice water and work with your fingers until the water is incorporated and the dough comes together. Add more water if needed.
Spray the inside of a 9x13x2 inch glass or ceramic baking dish with a non-stick coating (I use Baker's Joy). Roll out pie dough on a lightly floured surface (I use a cold marble slab) and line the baking dish with dough (as for an apple pie)
