Our theme this week is "Celebrate!". This year has been filled with sorrow to say the least but I did find time to celebrate my first clear PET scan. I am so happy to say I survived! What better way to celebrate than with fireworks, family and friends in Magic Kingdom park.

The new trailer for Disney’s live-action adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast” debuted on ABC’s broadcast of  “The Bachelor” featuring new footage and Ariana Grande and John Legend’s duet of the iconic song Beauty and the Beast.

About the Film

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs.

“Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

The film stars: Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Oscar® winner Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s eccentric, but lovable father; Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp; Golden Globe® nominee Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Oscar nominee Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and two-time Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

Almost Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop - Love Theme

Welcome, so glad you stopped by The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop here at Focused on the Magic.com where each week we link up and share our #WW #DisneySide Wordless Wednesday or Almost Wordless Wednesday Disney related blog posts.

Disney movies are filled with songs of love and lyrics that pull lovingly on our heart strings. Since this week's theme is "Love", I thought I'd share the lyrics from one of my all time favorite movies, the 1942 movie, Bambi along with my well loved Disney trip pictures.

Love is a song that never ends

Life may be swift and fleeting
Hope may die, yet love's beautiful music
Comes each day like the dawn

Disney Date Night, Disney Cruise Line,Walt Disney World Resort

Love is a song that never ends

One simple theme repeating
Like the voice of a heavenly choir
Love's sweet music flows on

Like the voice of a heavenly choir

Love's sweet music flows on

Almost Wordless Wednesday - Wishes

Welcome, so glad you stopped by The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop here at Focused on the Magic.com where each week we gather to link up and share our #WW #DisneySide Wordless Wednesday or Almost Wordless Wednesday Disney related picture posts.

Our theme this week is "Love This!". I find myself saying it each time I experience Wishes the nighttime fireworks extravaganza in Magic Kingdom park.

Oh, a world of wishes, A world where dreams come true.
So make a wish, see it through.
Dare to do what dreamers do.
Cinderella Castle, Wishes the nighttime fireworks extravaganza in Magic Kingdom park.

What you'll experience:
The sky is the stage during this must-see 12-minute spectacular as rockets explode around Cinderella Castle. You'll hear a medley of famous Disney songs and the voices of Disney characters featuring Jiminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy as they celebrate the power of believing!

Tips:
Arrive early if you would like to be up close to the castle. There really isn't a bad view as long as you are facing the castle and able to look up. Look for Tinkerbell's flight to the right of the castle. The closer you are the better it is to see. The end of Main Street, USA or the train station provides a wonderful panoramic view away from the castle crowds.

Stay late. As soon as the show ends a mass exodus begins. This is a great time to grab a snack, shop or visit attractions that earlier had long queues.

Hello February! Almost #Disney #WW Blog Hop

Welcome to The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop here at Focused on the Magic where each week we get together to share links to our wordless or almost wordless #WW #DisneySide travel photos.

There is a theme each week that you can follow if you wish. This week's theme is "Your Calendar Shot" for February.

February is one of my favorite months for trips to Florida. The weather is beautiful, not too hot or humid which makes it easier to get some good pictures and there are always new things to see and do.

On this occasion I set up my tripod away from the crowds and pointed my camera toward the sky to capture the burst above but also the reflection in the river. Next time I'll use my Tokina 16-18 mm lens as this Nikon lens cut off the tip of the trails and the full reflection.

Timing is everything in this location because you are standing on a floating dock. Every time people walk past you will your camera will shake. If you are in the middle of a long exposure it can be frustrating. I think it's worth the challenge.

Welcome, so glad you stopped by The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop  here at Focused on the Magic.com where each week we gather to blog hop, link up and share our #WW #DisneySide Wordless Wednesday or Almost Wordless Wednesday Disney related picture posts.

I'd like to thank my dear friend Mike from My Dreams of Disney for his prayers, encouragement and support in bringing #WW back.  Being able to share the hop with him today is an honor.

Today I chose a picture of  the iconic Cinderella waving to her adoring fans during Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade in Walt Disney World. This parade has been retired as of this year. I'm sure that the next night time parade will be just as magical and I look forward to seeing it. No word of when that will be.

Usually there is a set theme but this week we're going freestyle. Post whatever theme you desire. I'm celebrating my "coming out from under the covers" with a parade theme.

Guests Can Meet Princess Elena of Avalor at Magic Kingdom Park

Princess Elena of Avalor – the first Disney princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures – will begin to greet guests alongside other royal friends at Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom Park. At Princess Fairytale Hall, guests can choose between a meeting with Elena and Cinderella or a visit with Rapunzel and Tiana. With state-of-the-art projections, special effects, fireworks and more an all-new nighttime spectacular, “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!,” premieres at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Nov. 14, sending beloved Disney animated characters on a spirited yuletide adventure to get Santa back to the North Pole in time for Christmas Eve.

state-of-the-art projections, special effects, fireworks and more an all-new nighttime spectacular, “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!,” premieres at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The façade of the Chinese Theater comes alive with the merriment, music and sparkle of the Walt Disney World Resort 2016 holiday season. On, above and around the theater are state-of-the-art projections, special effects, fireworks and even snow. Adding to the immersive experience is a new musical score featuring familiar holiday tunes with an original twist. It’s a holiday show that couldn’t be more merry and bright.

It’s also a cranberry-red situation for elves Wayne and Lanny from ABC/Walt Disney Animation Studios’ animated special “Prep & Landing,” as the duo leads a top-notch team on a search-and-rescue mission for Santa.

Snowy fun and holiday cheer set to the twinkling tunes of the season bring together holiday moments from Disney films including “Mickey’s Christmas Carol,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Pluto’s Christmas Tree,” “Bambi,” – even a journey into Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” – all building to a festive finale that’s “So tinsel!”

A special message from Santa Claus will cap off this unforgettable spectacular for the whole family.

“Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” will run from Nov. 14 to Dec. 31, adding a sparkling finale to any holiday visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Dessert Parties Make the Holidays Even Sweeter
More holiday cheer is in store for guests who book a new dessert party that will be offered nightly during the show’s run. The Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Holiday Party features holiday inspired snacks, decadent desserts and specialty beverages in the courtyard of the Chinese Theater.

Beginning one hour before each performance of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, the party is $69 for adults, and $39 for children, including all taxes and gratuities.

More Holiday Cheer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
During the holiday season, “Tinsel Town” takes on a completely different kind of meaning at this theme park that celebrates the magic of movies and television. A giant Christmas tree towers over the main entrance, holiday displays capture the imagination, and colorful garlands and lights sparkle.

In the spirit of bygone days and Old St. Nick visits to great department stores across the country, guests can share their wish list with him at the Once Upon a Time shop, a vintage setting along Sunset Boulevard.
