What a great week we had celebrating Independence Day and planning our next great Disney adventures! I hope you all had a fabulous 4th of July. Somehow with all the celebrations and planning we managed to even blog a very little bit.

• We're kicking off the summer with a new series of blog posts, 101 Things To Do At Disney World.

In this series I'll be counting down to our fabulous fall trip by sharing 101 of my favorite things to do at WDW, from rides to restaurants.

• The next series will be all about planning a first trip to Disneyland Paris. Yes, you read it right, I'm going to Disneyland Paris in December for the first time! Doin' the happy DLP dance.

Welcome to our Week in Review at Focused on the Magic! What a busy Presidents' Week we've had! We focused on the magic of Disney ♥ with photo fun hops, friends & flashbacks, and the grand finale of our Presidents' Week Giveaway of a

On to our roundup of pixie dusted postulations from this past week...

• We kicked off Presidents' Week with our first ever giveaway of a $100 Disney Gift Card.
• On Tuesday I shared my Favorite Hidden Mickey for The Orange Loop of The Magical Blogorail. 
• The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop theme this week was Disney Details. I shared a family favorite Hidden Mickey from Snow White's Scary Adventure ride in WDW, which closed this week. There were 27 sensational Disney bloggers linked up to the hop this past week, check them all out right here! 
• Photo Flashback Friday took us back in time once again, to a meet with some great old Disney Friends from AllEars.

First Footing - Disney Style! 1/4, Wordless Wednesday Theme

The theme this week is First Footing - Disney Style. Sounds crazy. right? Well put your imagination ear hats on and bear with me for just a Minnie moment. 

Some of you may be familiar with the Scottish first-foot tradition. Manda and all my Scottish friends, forgive me while I botch, butcher and misinterpret this tradition. I mean no disrespect. It's all in fun!

There is a New Year tradition in Scotland called "first footing". In this tradition the first person to enter a home after the new year is supposed bring luck for the rest of the year.

I wish we all could have taken a giant foot step into a Disney park on New Years day and brought ourselves luck as well as Disney! 

Here's our Disney-style spin on the tradition. There are more than a few ways you can interpret this theme but here are a few suggestions.

• A picture of the first park you would visit if you were there on New Years.
• A picture of any of your first days in a park. 
• The very first time you stepped into a park.
• Babies first visit...even though they can't step, they do represent New Years, new beginnings and I think they're lucky:)
• None of the above.
