Weekly Roundup 3/31

Welcome Disney friends to the 3/31 edition of Focused on the Magic's recap!

Since last I recapped I have suffered from a severe case of Disneyitis resulting in Disney dementia and a high spring fever complicated by computer malfunctions... April Fools:D
As Goofy as it sounds, some of it rings true. My computer did crash. Good news is I'm writing this on my new laptop:) I really am in a constant state of Disneyitis. CLICK HERE to see if you are too. The Disney dementia and spring fever diagnosis is probably from the new computer smell;)
Ok, enough of the foolishness, I'll save the rest for tomorrow;)

On to highlights of pixie dusted postulations from the past 2 weeks...

The most exciting news for me was announced on the first day of Spring! I became a Disney InsidEAR!! CLICK HERE to read all about it.
One of the perks of being an InsidEAR is having access to some great Disney news stories which we are encouraged to share with our online friends. The stories are first released to us hot off the press then to the Disney community a week or so later. Since becoming a Disney InsidEAR I've shared a few of the news stories and here they are:

On Sunday I joined my friend Mike at My Dreams of Disney in his "Disney in Pictures" series. The theme was "Parades" and I shared a picture of Cinderella in her royal coach from the Spectro Magic Parade.

You may have noticed a new blog button for a new feature, Deb's Daily Dose of Disney. As the title implies I am sharing a daily dose of Disney magic through tips, pics, interviews and reviews with just enough pixie dust to give you a Disney fix for the day.
The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hops were awesome! The Sorcerer's Hat (Icon Theme) had 29 bloggers linked up and April Flowers (Flowers & Gardens Theme) had 25 bloggers linked in. Thank you all for linking up and making it a success!!

Weekly Roundup ~ 3/10

Welcome Spring, Daylight Savings Time and Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival! Our weekly roundup is a brief one as my posting was a bit brief this week. We're getting ready for spring with a major cleanup around our house. Focusing on the magic of Disney this week was made easy though, with Disney blog hops, sharing stories with friends and photo flashbacks.

Weekly Recap ~ 2/12

Weekly Roundup ~ 2/5/12

Welcome back to another Week in Review of Focused on the Magic! This week was busy while getting ready for some Superbowl football, but we managed to stay focused on the magic of Disney World with photos, flash backs, flash forwards and reading great Disney blogs.

Sunday and Monday flew by with my playing with pins and postulating on Pinterest. It's so addicting! Stop by my Pinterest boards to see what I've pinned up.
Tuesday I posted my photographic interpretation of a haiku from the Mouse of Zen book for a special edition of The Magical Blogorail. Check it out here.
The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop theme this week was Your Calendar Shot for the month of February. I shared one of my favorite pictures of the Partners Statue in The Magic Kingdom. There were some awesome Disney calendar shots linked up.
On Thursday I was back on Pinterest playing with pins and making new friends. I wonder if there's a 12 step pin! I'm also trying to get a grip on Google+ and deciding whether I like it or not. What do you think?
Photo Flashback Friday took us back to Animator's Palate on The Magic and a Flash Forward to the new technology in art that will be introduced on The Disney Fantasy.

Week in Review ~ 1/29/12

Welcome back to another Week in Review of Focused on the Magic! We've had a really busy week, so let's take a look at the roundup of posts from this past week.

On Sunday we Revisited the Writer's Stop in Disney Hollywood Studios. Great cup of coffee and carrot cake, Yum!
Monday's post was Happy Chinese New Year with pictures of the beautiful China Pavilion in Epcot at Walt Disney World and my taste for Chinese beer!
Our Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop the theme this week was wildlife, and I shared pictures of the majestic tigers on the Maharaja Jungle Trek in Animal Kingdom!
On Thursday I shared 5 fun things from My Disney Bucket List!
On Photo Flashback Friday we flashed back to 1997 with a memorable picture of the first E~night & Buzz Lightyear's soft opening and a few fun factoids.
Saturday was Foodie Fare day with a DIY Disney Park Apple Strudel Recipe, detailed pictorial instruction and made complete with a Disney Parks video!

All in a name: If you follow me on Facebook you may have noticed my name change to, Debra Ann. In an attempt to keep my kids, who are on Facebook and Twitter, from having to *friend* their mom and all her Disney friends, I have tried to avoid using my last name. I chose Deb -short for Debra. S - for my last name. Dis - which I thought at the time was Disney enough for my friends and obscure enough to make my kids happy. It has caused no end of confusion as a name, with messages asking me for my real name. On the boards I'm usually DebºoºS but that didn't convert to Facebook or Twitter well. So, I am now officially Debra Ann...or until the kids catch up with me;)
