Wordless Wednesday | The Great Movie Ride

Hi over there!
Welcome to the latest edition of The Wordless and Almost Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop here at Focused on the Magic.com where each week we get together to blog hop, link up and share our #DisneySide Wordless Wednesday or Almost Wordless Wednesday, Disney related picture posts.

Nostalgia is the theme for this week.

One of my favorite attractions since it's opening day in 1989, The Great Movie Ride inside the Chinese Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios aka Disney's MGM Studios will take it's last journey August 13, 2017.

According to Wikipedia. The Great Movie Ride directly inspired the creation of Disney's Hollywood Studios. In a Walt Disney Imagineering book, it was revealed that The Great Movie Ride was actually going to be the main attraction in a show business themed pavilion at Epcot

I have a wealth of wonderful memories wrapped up in The Great Movie Ride. It was my must do attraction each visit. I loved the theme, the story and the photographic challenge it presented me every time.
I'll add more pictures and video as I go through them. These are some shots of my favorite scenes.

Do you have a favorite scene?

The Force Is Strong | Almost Wordless Wednesday

Welcome and thanks for stopping by The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop here at Focused on the Magic where each week we gather together to link up and share our #DisneySide pictures.

Today's theme is "Your May Calendar Shot" and tomorrow is May 4th, the unofficial "Star Wars Day". As I am a huge Star Wars fan, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite Star Wars moments we've enjoyed at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
The fireworks force is strong this month first with a shot of Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World, fireworks

An out of this world Galactic Spectacular Fireworks show. We were able to see but not hear except for the explosions from our balcony at Coronado Springs Resort each night.

I have lots of pictures of the new March of the First Order parade that I'll share at a later date. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. Have you seen it and what did you think?

DisneySide Wordless Wednesday: Toy Story Mania, Disney's Hollywood Studios

Welcome and thanks for stopping by The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop here at Focused on the Magic where each week we gather together to link up and share our #DisneySide.

This week our prompt is Pixar!

Stepping into the world of Pixar at Disney's Hollywood Studios is magical. I love to see the reactions on peoples faces when The Green Army Men spontaneously interact with them. It's hysterical. Toy Story Mania is a must do and of course we never miss an interactive photo op.

Citizens of Hollywood (Streetmosphere) at Disney's Hollywood Studios ~ Disney Couture

Welcome and thanks for stopping by The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop here at Focused on the Magic.com. Each week we gather with bloggers to link up and share our #DisneySide Wordless Wednesday Disney vacation picture posts. I hope you'll join us by linking up your pictures and hopping to see all the great vacation photos the blogs have posted.

This week's theme is Disney Couture.

We see uniquely designed and themed fashions on Cast Members everywhere in the parks. I chose to share pictures of the
Citizens of Hollywood (Streetmosphere) at Disney's Hollywood Studios. They always have the most authentic and detailed looking costumes from a time when fashion was flamboyant and fun. Each dress is a work of art and tailored to the actresses onstage personality making it a fashion statement.

Focused on the Magic
Welcome friends and thanks for stopping by The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop here at Focused on the Magic.com where each week we gather with Disney Bloggers to link up and share our #DisneySide Wordless Wednesday vacation picture posts. The theme this week is inspired by the Letter "T". I chose Toy Story Mania pictures because it's one our favorite attractions in Disney Hollywood Studios. The queue features over sized classic toys. The Mr. Potao Head, Viewmasters, Candyland and Rocket sets were very popular when I was growing up. What were your favorites?

Hidden Mickey Hunting: The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

Our Hidden Mickeys this week are from The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights on the Streets of America at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's an amazing seasonal display featuring millions of glittering lights perfectly synchronized to holiday music. Think Manheim Steamroller. You can also expect a Florida faux snow to fall and a flurry of Hidden Mickeys some of which are pictured below. It's a fun time hunting with some being very obvious and other  more hidden. We stopped counting at 13.

Friday

Star Wars Weekend Foodie Favorite

Happy Foodie Friday! We're focused on cupcake galactic goodness today. Star Wars Weekends are an exciting and an event filled time with parades, character meet and greets, autograph signings, Darth Mall shopping and the galactic shows.
At some point during the out-of-this-world festivities you have to take a break and recharge, or at least I do. What better sweet snack dessert could there possibly be for Star Wars Weekends than the exclusive to Star Wars Weekends, Darth Vader cupcake? This was the best cupcake I have ever tasted on property. It has edged out The Disney Moms Panel Fan Luncheon pink perfect cupcake as my favorite.

The Darth Vader cupcake is one snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan or $4.99. Thinking that seems a bit pricey for a cupcake? Not at all, considering it's a full size large cupcake, filled with Chocolate-Peanut Butter, topped with sprinkles and Chocolate Frosting. DS, @PetethePirate and I decided to split this cupcake when we saw how large it was. I'm glad we did because it was more than enough for both of us, right down to the chocolate Darth Vader and white chocolate light saber. It was good to the last bite!

The Darth Vader cupcake was available during Star Wars Weekends in multiple locations throughout Disney Hollywood Studios. I got mine at ABC Commissary
so that I might enjoy my break from the action and some much needed air conditioning.

Destination Disney ~ Mrs. Incredible Quote

"Don't think, and don't worry. If the time comes, you'll know what to do."~Mrs. Incredible
This quote made me think of the way I like to tour the parks, camera in hand and ready to snap. I rarely put my camera away because you just never know when a photo op will happen.
We were touring Disney Hollywood Studios Animation Building one day when all of a sudden out of nowhere FroZone appeared! It was the first time I'd ever seen him and I really wanted a picture for my character collection.

Luckily I had my camera ready and quickly snapped a few as he dashed away.
