Squee! This made my day. I've been eagerly anticipating this trailer since I first heard the news that "Beauty and the Beast" would be retold as a live-action movie.
The first sneak peek at Disney’s upcoming live-action re-telling of “Beauty and the Beast” is out. Giving audiences a glimpse at the highly anticipated film based on the animated classic which refashions the iconic characters and musical numbers from the tale as old as time, the film stars Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson. “Beauty and the Beast” opens in U.S. theaters on March 17, 2017.
Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs.
Excitement is building and so are the Imagineers over in the new Fantasyland expansion. Maurice's Cottage is in it's final stages of development and we have a video of it. We’ve hinted before on InsidEARS and the Disney Parks Blog that Enchanted Tales with Belle, in New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park, will be no ordinary character greeting. Today, we are sharing more details about this special experience.As you’ll see from the video below – provided by Walt Disney Imagineering – the goal of this attraction is not just to give you a place to meet a Disney character, but to completely transport you into the world of “Beauty and The Beast.”
The journey begins at Maurice’s Cottage, where they’ll walk through the whimsical garden and find inventions created by Belle’s tinkerer father, Maurice. Inside are books, pictures and other symbols that define the home of Belle and Maurice and their lives there, including leftover gadgets and artifacts from experiments gone awry. But guests also will see a mirror that magically becomes a portal into Beast’s Castle…

It's Photo Flashback Friday! Time to once again enter the Wayback Machine and have another look at our Disney photos. In honor of the opening of the Flower & Garden Festival this week I have a flower filled flashback from a magical trip I took to Walt Disney World in 2010.
This was such a special trip because it was my first full solo week. It was a wonderful experience even though I missed the family very much. You can read all about how it came to be here.
It was a very hot sunny afternoon (as you can see from the blown out skies) in May that I took these pictures of the Beauty and The Beast display, which was located on the lagoon side of France. Cogsworth looks like he's enjoying the sunny day but at this point we were melting and ready for some lunch.
On this trip I organized a photowalk around the festival. We met in the morning at the entrance to Epcot and then followed the special Flower & Garden Festival program all the way around the Word Showcase snapping away.
Doesn't Lumiere looked surprised? I love the expression they are able to create from simple plant material. It was a magical day with a lot of picture taking and photography chatting, stopping for lunch in Italy and riding a few rides. I'll be posting more of our adventure and my solo week in my next Flashback and throughout the month!
