Disney Characters Word Filled Wednesday

This week the theme is Characters. 
We all have favorite Disney characters. What's yours?

Mine has been Donald Duck for the past 40 + years. I blame it on Paul and the boys. They laughed so hard at Donald's cartoon antics I just couldn't help but love him as well. He wasn't always popular in the parks. Back in the 90's, he was hard to find for character meet and greets. I've learned that it takes a special cast member to "know" Donald. I'm glad that he can be seen in all the parks now. Mexico is the most popular character spot for him but check the guide maps as you enter the park as there are plenty of other places you can meet and greet with him.

This week the theme is Toys. 
Pictured here are some of my favorite toys growing up. I spent hours playing Candyland with my sister and friends. Mr. Potato head was always part of the doll lineup. We used real potatoes to get that authentic look. My husband built rockets with the Liquid Plasmoid Rocket set and on more than one occasion made his mother what was that smell coming from the basement. Taking a look through my Viewmaster you would find stories of Peter Pan, Snow White, a tour of Disneyland and more magic of Disney.

This week I am sharing a collage of wine tastings, one of our favorite things to do at Epcot's Food & Wine Festival at the Walt Disney World Resort. It's a great opportunity to sample new wines from around the world, learn about the region's culture, how the grapes are grown, food pairings and so much more. Just another plus of magic at the festival.

Disney Cast Members throughout the parks do an amazing job of creating the magic that we all enjoy as guests. Paul always enjoyed watching the Citizens of Hollywood (Streetmosphere) at Disney's Hollywood Studios. He would rather take in one of their shows while everyone else rode Tower of Terror. Maybe it was because he had experience in theater and appreciated just how talented these folks are.

Do you enjoy having a special night during your trips? Share your pics or post filled with tips. We can all learn from each other. Enjoy!

I am so glad that we always planned a special night for just the two of us. When we were on a cruise we would enjoy a romantic dinner at Palo and then on to karaoke and dancing. Depending on the resort we were staying in I would schedule a dining reservation for their signature restaurant. My favorite location for date night in Epcot is the outdoor dining at Rose and Crown with a view of Illuminations. Followed by a leisurely stroll around the World Showcase.
Now that my situation has changed I plan at least one get together with a group of friends for that special night.

Let me start off by saying I am by far not an expert or professional travel planner and I am in no way promoting any particular travel agency or agent here.
I have always loved the planning process. Our Disney trips start with a call to Disney's Members Services to see if there is a room in our favorite resort. We became Disney Vacation Club members in 1991 at Disney's BoardWalk Villas in Florida.

I have a variety of Disney collections. From T-shirts to ephemera. My favorite is my photo collection. But you probably knew that already. This little Ariel figurine was spotted in a gift shop on one of our cruises. She is so beautifully crafted. The colors are luminescent and the expression is just so Ariel.
