Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a rocking, rollicking family-style coaster that will immerse Magic Kingdom guests in the lovable world of Sleepy, Doc, Grumpy, Bashful, Sneezy, Happy and Dopey. Inspired by the Disney animated film classic “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” the attraction will send riders on a playful musical adventure into the mine “where a million diamonds shine.”

Our Favorite Things in New Fantasyland

New Fantasyland in Disney World is the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom's 41 year old history and it's opening was highly anticipated by myself and my son Peter. We got our chance to experience it in May. This was a mother and son 10 day, 3 resort photography trip. The New Fantasyland photo ops were amazing!

I had tried staying away from hearing all the details and seeing pictures from friends who had experienced it during the opening as I wanted our experience to be filled with as much of the Disney magic as possible. I'm glad I did, it was fun experiencing New Fantasyland with very few preconceived ideas or expectations.

I was going to try and keep this wordless but you know I can't keep quiet for long.
See how happy Peter looks in this picture? He loved the attraction. Sat in the first row and laughed at all the jokes. He jumped up when Belle asked him if he wanted a picture with her. 

You would never know he was the reluctant guest at first. Didn't want to wait in the queue, didn't care that it was Belle, didn't want any part of it. So, I had to do some motherly persuading for him to give this attraction a try. I have 2 boys (they're older but I still call them boys) and it always been a challenge for me to get them to stop and visit the princesses in the parks. On this occasion I sort of bribed him with lunch at his choice of a restaurant. He chose Be Our Guest which was a must-do for me anyway.
It all worked out and this turned out to be one our favorite attractions in new Fantasyland.

 A new daytime parade, the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, will march into Magic Kingdom in spring 2014. The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade will bring the magical stories of New Fantasyland to Main Street, U.S.A., through fantastic and innovative new parade floats, vibrant costumes, and an original soundtrack that will feature beloved songs from favorite Disney films, plus a new parade theme song. Magic Kingdom is located at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (Disney)
