Sharing The Magic Statue | Wordless Wednesday

Welcome to The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop where each week we gather together and share our Disney vacation photos and hop from blog to blog. Want to link up your #DisneySide pictures? Look no further than the bottom of this post.

Throughout the parks you'll discover Blaine Gibson, the multi talented sculptors works in attractions, movies and statues, including the famous "Partner's Statue".

One statue I always look for in Magic Kingdom is the "Sharing The Magic" statue. It depicts Roy O. Disney seated with Minnie on a park bench. You have to admire Blaine Gibson not only for his talent but his work ethic. This statue was delivered in 1999 when he was 81!
In my research I also learned from Gene Duncan, the Disney Parks Blog Photographer that Gibson created the statue to show Roy holding Minnie’s hand from underneath as way to show how Roy supported his brother.

Wordless Wednesday | Goofy Day!

Welcome to The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop where each week we gather together and share our Disney vacation photos and hop from blog to blog. Want to link up your #DisneySide pictures? Look no further than the bottom of this post.

Today we are celebrating Goofy Day!
Mickey's whacky pal Goofy first appeared in Mickey's Revue on May 25, 1932, but it wasn't until 1934 that he was named Goofy.
One of my favorite close encounters is with The Great Goofini in Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Magic Kingdom.
There you can meet The Astounding Donaldo, The Great Goofini, Minnie Magnifique and Madame Daisy Fortuna. Two separate lines form to meet the stars. One for Daisy and Minnie and the other is for Donald and Goofy. It's a spacious themed meet and greet with plenty of room for Goofini to ham it up for the cameras.

Happy Birthday, Goofy!! ah-hyuck! hoo hoo hoo hoo!

Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop | Carousel of Progress

Welcome to The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop where each week we gather together and share our Disney vacation photos and hop from blog to blog. Want to link up your #DisneySide pictures? Look no further than the bottom of this post.

For this week's theme, we are getting in our Wayback Machine and going way-way back to the 1964-65 World's Fair in New York which was my one of my very first Disney attraction experiences.

I was fortunate to visit the NY Word's Fair with my grandmother, mom, and uncle. We didn't know what to expect but I thought at the time that it must be good if so many people were waiting in such a long line in the blazing August sun. Once inside the cool dark theater, it was a refreshing as it is today.
The revolving stage and Audio-Animatronics were amazing and left a big impression.

The last time I saw Carousel of Progress I was with a great group of my blogging buddies during the Type-A Parent Conference making it even more special.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort | Relaxing Wordless Wednesday

Welcome! I'm glad you stopped by for the Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop, where bloggers get together and link up their #DisneySide Wordless or Almost Wordless Wednesday posts.

Each week we have a prompt or theme. This week we are enjoying Resorts and Relaxation. With Mother's Day coming up this Sunday I am wishing all of you a most relaxing day. I hope you get to Disneyfy it. I've been very fortunate to spend a few in Walt Disney World and they were the best!

Our DVC home resort is the Boardwalk Villas but it is not our number one choice of relaxing resorts. That honor goes to The Wilderness Lodge, then The Boardwalk Villas, The Grand Floridian, Yacht Club and then my favorite but not my husbands, Animal Kingdom Lodge. Notice a trend here? We enjoy being surrounded by water.

Relaxing at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is easy. Not only are the pools and hot tubs delightful but there is a nice sandy beach and paths through the woods for running or leisurely walks. Ferries are always at the ready for a ride across the bay. What a wonderful way to get around. Renting water mice and buzzing around the bay is a must!

Here Paul is sitting by the fire enjoying some down time while I roam around the lobby snapping pictures and browsing the gift shop.

A relaxing way to end the day!

Everybody neat and pretty?

The Force Is Strong | Almost Wordless Wednesday

Welcome and thanks for stopping by The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop here at Focused on the Magic where each week we gather together to link up and share our #DisneySide pictures.

Today's theme is "Your May Calendar Shot" and tomorrow is May 4th, the unofficial "Star Wars Day". As I am a huge Star Wars fan, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite Star Wars moments we've enjoyed at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
The fireworks force is strong this month first with a shot of Magic Kingdom fireworks.

An out of this world Galactic Spectacular Fireworks show. We were able to see but not hear except for the explosions from our balcony at Coronado Springs Resort each night.

I have lots of pictures of the new March of the First Order parade that I'll share at a later date. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. Have you seen it and what did you think?
