Disney’s "A Wrinkle in Time" Poster; Official Trailer

From visionary director Ava DuVernay comes Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time,” an epic adventure based on Madeleine L’Engle’s timeless classic which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love.
“A Wrinkle in Time” opens nationwide on March 9, 2018.

Through one girl’s transformative journey led by three celestial guides, we discover that strength comes from embracing one’s individuality and that the best way to triumph over fear is to travel by one’s own light. Meg Murry is a typical middle school student struggling with issues of self-worth who just wants to fit in.

The daughter of two world-renowned physicists, she is intelligent and uniquely gifted, as is Meg’s younger brother, Charles Wallace, but she has yet to realize it for herself. Complicating matters is the mysterious disappearance of Mr. Murry, which has left Meg devastated and her mother broken-hearted. Charles Wallace introduces Meg and her fellow classmate Calvin to three celestial beings (Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Who) who have journeyed to Earth to help search for their father, and together they embark on their formidable quest.

Travelling via a wrinkling of time and space known as tessering, they are transported to worlds beyond their imagination where they must confront a powerful evil force. To make it back home to Earth, Meg must face the darkness within herself in order to harness the strength necessary to defeat the darkness rapidly enveloping the Universe.

Directed by Oscar® nominee Ava DuVernay from a screenplay by Oscar winner Jennifer Lee based upon the beloved novel by Madeleine L’Engle, “A Wrinkle in Time” stars: two-time Academy Award® nominee Oprah Winfrey as Mrs. Which, Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon as Mrs. Whatsit, Emmy® nominee

All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift from her late mother. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms:
Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets.
Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world. Starring Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy and featuring a special performance by Misty Copeland,

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Disney Magic

Hey there Disney photography fans. Welcome to The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop here at Focused on the Magic where each week we get together to share our #DisneySide vacation photos.

Season's Greetings we're coming to you today from the beautiful but cold state of Maryland.

The theme this week is: Disney Magic
The holidays are the most magical time of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort

Midnight on Main Street

The holidays are the most magical time of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort - if you plan ahead.

It is the one time of year I plan each day and night with Fast Passes, Advance Dining Reservations, Quick Serve locations that pop up for the holidays, a list of seasonal entertainment and a backup plan.
I even plan my camera bag for day and night. At night I like to use a tote bag for easy setup. It holds my tripod, remotes, ND filters, flashlight and low light lenses. During the day I go lighter with a small photo backpack or Domke crossbody bag that holds my favorite walk around zoom lens, a low light lens for dark rides and polarizing filters.

With all the planning and plotting out of the way there's more time to enjoy the dazzling holiday lights, special yuletide meals and treats, pixie dusted parades and holiday entertainment. Solo or with family and friends it is magic.

Come along and join the fun and share your favorite Disney pictures with us.

Disney Wordless Wednesday Thanks + Giving

Hi there Disney photography fans. Welcome to The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop here at Focused on the Magic where each week we get together to share our #DisneySide vacation photos.

So, come along and join the fun and share your favorite Disney pictures.

Our theme this week is Thanks + Giving.

This meme is loosely based on a word game we play on Thanksgiving. Someone picks a word that's related to Thanksgiving. Going around the table each person says what they are thankful for using the letters in the word chosen.
Here's my Disney spin on the game in pictures.

T-h-a-n-k-s

T - Tinkerbell

H - Hooray for Hollywood with Honey Darling

A - Liberty Tavern Apple Pie

N - Nighttime Magic

K - Lion King

S - Soon Santa is coming to town.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
