Minnie Monday ~ Mail Forwarding
Most Disney World fans know by now that Minnie's Country House in Mickey's Toontown Fair has closed. I've been wondering where oh where is Minnie's mail being forwarded to? It has been widely reported that the cottage will remain on property. If it is it's an undisclosed location thus far. Minnie's cute little country cottage holds many cherished memories for my family. Even her little backyard was a magical place especially when Minnie appeared to greet Guests. The big move is filled with uncertainty and we're a little concerned. Will her precious possessions, like the portait of Clarabell Cow with the Hidden Mickey and the cool breeze refrigerator filled with cheesy food find their way safely to a spot in The Fantasyland Expansion? A transient Minnie will be making guest appearances throughout the Magic Kingdom until the spring of 2011. At that time she'll meet and greet Guests at the Town Square Exposition Hall. I just hope Goofy & Co. aren't entrusted with Minnie's move. We all know how Mickey's kitchen renovation went!
I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Even with the safari truck bouncing and guests jostling you can get some interesting shots especially with a tele lens that has VR (vibration reduction).
My favorite time to ride the safari is right after it rains. The colors, animals and foliage seem to perk right up after the typical afternoon shower. When is your favorite time to take the safari ride?

These signs can be found on the safari in Animal Kingdom just before the giraffes favorite feeding area. It's a very bumpy ride on the safari trucks but you can get some great shots with a tele lens.

Foto Friday ~ Frontierlands Notoriuos Banjo Brothers and Bob
Even the birds get into their act! |
We caught the The Notorious Banjo Brothers and Bob performing on the steps of the pin store in Frontierland at The Magic Kingdom. They draw quite a crowd and shouldn't be missed. If you hear them strike up the band, pull up a rocker and settle down for a spell. With just three instruments (two banjo players and a sousaphone) they produce an incredible variety of music. You'll hear a mix of old cowboy tunes, bluegrass and familiar Disney tunes. All that and they're comedians too!
Look for the Notorious Banjo Brothers and Bob's 20 minute performances in Frontierland.
